Many groups of friends, lured by the promise of a mountain that offered amazing views and an otherworldly experience, hiking in the middle of July in a rainy season. It looks like the cloud-covered mountain offered a path that appeared to go directly to paradise ‘A Path to Heaven’.
To feel and explore the world from above and experience the enchantment of being between the clouds with their backpacks securely fastened on, their spirits were high, and a sense of exhilaration was felt by all.
With the sun barely seen in the clouds, the voyage started early in the morning. The sky, a painting of different blue and grey tones, suggested the dreamy and dreary weather that lay ahead, and the air itself was crisp, full of water droplets which could be felt on the face. The trail towards the path of heaven began at the foot of the mountain, where the verdant lush green surroundings welcomed them. Above, the rocks and hills the layer of grass and soil created a natural path to heaven.
The youngsters moved with a mixture of caution and desire, many a first-timers. Their rucksacks added weight but the nature sounds, birds chirping, water pouring from above and rustle of leaves and grass beneath their feet accompanied their animated, expectant chats as they rose.
Every corner of the verdant surroundings offered a fresh perspective on the diverse range of life on the mountain, making for a lovely diversion. The sounds of breeze and water droplets striking on the faces provided a calming feel to the arduous hike.
On reaching some height surrounded by clouds, produced an otherworldly mood. In between the chilly weather, the mist swirling about them gave glimpses of the peak hidden above, a blurry picture in front of them, making the mountain appear to be alive. Having an impression of being in a magical place where the lines between reality and imagination were blurred.
The trail opened before them, a patchwork of verdant farmland and soil. The trail above kept winding uphill until vanishing behind the heavy grey clouds.
The thought and excitement of reaching the summit kept them going as each step pushed them closer into the clouds. The surrounding’s sporadic flash of color maintaining the beauty of nature.
On reaching the summit clouds broke to provide an amazing view. With the valley far below and the infinite sky above, it seemed as though they were standing on the edge of the earth. It felt strange to be in between the clouds. A fluffy white blanket covered them, with splotches of blue sky showing through. The feeling of standing in between of clouds was indescribable.
The young groups marveled the 360-degree view as they stood at the top, giving them the impression that they were in heaven. They felt as it was a tremendous sense of accomplishment.
The sights were breathtaking all towards the path to heaven, the experience of being among the clouds was indescribable, and the walk had been tough but worthwhile. Friends made lifelong memories. Beyond merely providing them with a physical challenge, the mountain and the chilly breeze had provided them the opportunity to embark on a spiritual journey and establish meaningful connections with each other and nature.
All contributed to an almost fantastic trekking experience. It served as a reminder of the magic and beauty that the natural world has to offer, ready to be discovered by those who are prepared to walk on the cloud towards the path to heaven.
